Hundreds of hikers convene at Danny Spring for Rina's memorial ceremony
Thousands(!) of hikers took part in an exciting and moving nature march in memory of Rina Shnerb, hy"d. Rina was murdered last month by a Palestinian terrorist while on a hike to Danny Spring with her father and brother. Binyamin Regional Council head Yisrael Ganz and Lod Mayor Yair Rebibo – the Shnerb family lives in Lod – led a convoy to Danny Spring, followed by many hundreds of hikers who took part there in a ceremony in Rina's memory.

The event concluded with a very poignant group-sing rendition of Israel's national anthem Hatikvah and Ani Maamin (I Believe in the Coming of the Messiah).

"What we see here today at Danny Spring," said Ganz, "is the best of Israel's youth from all over the country. We will strengthen our hold here, and throughout Judea and Samaria, and we will increase life, in all senses." He announced a plan to build a new neighborhood in Dolev, just above Danny Spring, in memory of Rina, "in which we will deepen our roots and at the same time continue to enjoy this special spring – a source of living waters."

Rina's sister Orah said, "We are the people of Israel, we don't give up, and we choose life! We will volunteer and we will bring happiness, just as Rina always wanted." Thanking all those who participated in the march, she acknowledged that "Rina will always be missing in whatever we do, but we will remember her with joy."
